Pengembangan Karateristik Pembelajaran Berbasis High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)
Abstract
Students who are used to working on questions with HOTS characteristics are expected to improve higher-order thinking skills. The purpose of this paper is to examine the importance of developing learning characteristics based on High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The research model uses literature review with a literature study approach model in the form of previous scientific writings that are closely related to this paper, such as research method books, journal articles, internet articles, ministry regulations and other writings. The results of the study show that in the development of learning such as questions it is recommended to use a stimulus which can be in the form of images, graphs, photos, tables, reading texts, formulas, examples, cases, symbols, maps. Thus, it requires mastery of teaching materials, skills in writing questions (question construction), and teacher creativity in choosing stimulus items according to the situation and conditions of the area around the education unit.
