Abstract

Water is a very fundamental compound in the metabolism of living things. Therefore, water quality must be in accordance with the standard conditions set, both chemically, physically and biologically. Samata Village, Somba Opu District is a residential area that experiences flooding in every rainy season, this condition is very likely to affect the water quality in the area. Based on that background, we conducted water quality testing and provided education to the public about the importance of the quality of the water used. Parameters tested include pH, organoleptic (color, odor, turbidity and taste), temperature, conductivity, and heavy metal analysis. The test results show that the quality of the wells and drilled water used for the daily needs of the community is suitable for use as water for bathing and toileting (MCK) purposes.
