This study aims to explore the prospects of using educational games in biology learning. The research method employed is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Data were collected using a Guttman scale questionnaire with "Yes" and "No" answer options. The population of this study consists of all 10th-grade students at SMAN 11 Pekanbaru, with a sample of 51 students selected through purposive sampling. The results indicate that the use of educational games has a positive impact on biology learning. The first indicator, the intensity of using educational games, revealed that 50% of respondents provided positive responses (sufficient). The second indicator, reasons for using educational games, showed 75% positive responses (good), including ease of understanding materials, increased interest, and learning motivation. The third indicator, benefits of using educational games, demonstrated 86% positive responses (very good), such as improved communication between teachers and students and enhanced learning efficiency. Overall, the use of educational games in biology learning achieved an average score of 70% with a "good" interpretation. These findings suggest that educational games as a learning medium can improve conceptual understanding, motivation, and students' interest in learning in a more engaging and interactive environment.
Yulia Rezki Nanda HasyriIbnu Hajar

The aims of this study were to find out the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the QODE learning model (Questioning, Organizing, Doing, Evaluating), to find out the learning outcomes of students who were taught without using the QODE learning model, and to know the effect of the QODE learning model on student learning outcomes. Quasi-experiment is a type of research that is applied to the nonequivalent control group design as the design in this study. The population of this study was 65 students from class XI IPA SMA Negeri 9 Pangkep. Class XI IPA 1 with 22 students was used as the control class and class XI IPA 2 with a total of 22 students was used as an experimental class using purposive side as a sampling technique. The research instrument used was a learning achievement test that aimed to measure student learning outcomes in the number of 25 multiple choice questions. Descriptive analysis as well as inferential analysis were used in the research. The results of the study showed that the average score of students' learning outcomes was 82.91 in the experimental class and 71.27 in the control class. The results of the t test show a sig.(2-tailed) value of 0.000 < α = 0.05. This shows that Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students who are taught using the QODE learning model and students who do not use the QODE learning model.
Tang Silmy ZahrahMashuri MasriSyahriani Syahriani

This study aims to describe learning motivation, self-regulation in learning and to analyze the relationship between learning motivation and self-regulation in student learning after the covid 19 pandemic in class XI Madrasah Aliyah Madani Alauddin. This type of research is ex post facto research. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIA Madrasah Aliyah Madani Alauddin in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, a total of 121 people. The sample in this research class XI MIA 2 is 38 students. The sampling technique used in this research is Systematic Random Sampling. Methods of data collection is done by using a questionnaire. The research instrument used was a learning motivation questionnaire with self-regulation in learning. Data analysis used is descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the analysis were obtained: 1) Post-pandemic Covid-19 student learning motivation was in the moderate category with a total of 21 students (55.3%). 2) Self-regulation in student learning after the Covid-19 pandemic is in the moderate category with a total of 26 (68.4%). 3) There is a significant relationship between learning motivation and self-regulation in student learning after the covid pandemic in class XI MIA Madrasah Aliyah Madani Alauddin because Sig 0.000 <0.05 and r count > r table, namely (0.570) > (0.320).
Mohammad TarmiziJamilah JamilahEka Damayanti

The research objectives are: to determine the learning outcomes of students who are taught with the use of SOLE learning model assisted by E-LKPD on the learning outcomes of students of digestive system material at SMPN 06 Mamuju, to determine the learning outcomes of students who are taught without the use of SOLE learning model assisted by E-LKPD on the learning outcomes of students of digestive system material at SMPN 06 Mamuju, to determine the effect of SOLE learning model assisted by E-LKPD on the learning outcomes of students of digestive system material at SMPN 06 Mamuju. Type of research Quasi Experiment with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Sample selection using purposive sampling in class VIII A as many as 20 people and class VIII B 20 people. The instruments used were learning outcome tests and observation sheets that had been validated. The results of the study were obtained by descriptive and inferential analysis. The learning outcomes of students in the experimental class with an average value of 82.25 were higher than the control class with an average value of 67.00. Hypothesis testing of learning outcomes shows titung 0.000 <0.05 so it is concluded that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students taught using the SOLE learning model assisted by E-LKPD and students taught without using the SOLE learning model assisted by E-LKPD.
Arfani ArfaniSyamsul SyamsulAndi Maulana

The choice of a major in college is a complex academic decision influenced by various factors such as academic achievement, interest, and external motivation. This study explores the relationship between high school learning achievement and interest in choosing a Biology Education major at the State Islamic University (UIN) Alauddin Makassar. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto method, involving 77 students of the 2017 intake as samples. Data were collected through documentation of report card grades and a questionnaire on interest in choosing a major, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including the Pearson correlation test. The results showed no significant relationship between learning achievement in high school and interest in choosing a Biology Education major (significance value = 0.424; p > 0.05). Additional analysis based on gender and school origin also showed no significant differences. These findings indicate that the choice of major is not entirely based on previous academic achievement but can be influenced by other factors such as social influence, family expectations, and career prospects. In addition, around 37.66% of students who choose this major have a low level of interest, which has the potential to affect their motivation and academic success in college. The implications of this study highlight the need for a re-evaluation of the freshman selection process as well as the importance of academic counseling services to ensure students have a better understanding of their academic options.
Said SaidMisykat Malik IbrahimEka DamayantiSalahuddin Salahuddin
