Abstract

Green open space is a component that must be owned in an urban area in a country. Indonesia is currently experiencing a fairly rapid development in its development which is more dominant in urban areas. Makassar City is one of the city centers in Indonesia and is located in South Sulawesi which is quite modern with good green open space management. Green open space is present as a space that has many benefits in the sustainability or sustainability of a city. Where modernization in urbanization regarding population is taking place at this time which of course has impacts and threats to the urban environment within the scope of Makassar city as the city center in South Sulawesi which is a specific area related to green open space in the environmental resilience of the Makassar city. In this case, it is about the relationship between humans and nature which makes the harmony of living things in the living space of the earth sustainable. With a perspective in the scope of environmental politics which is specified in the theory of biocentrism.
