THE RELATIONSHIP OF RISK PERCEPTION AND INTEREST OF UIN ALAUDDIN MAKASSAR STUDENTS IN USING APPLICATION-BASED TELEMEDICINE SERVICES

Backround : Applications that offer healthcare services remotely between doctors and patients are known as telemedicine. Initial survey results show that there are still students who have never used telemedicine.

Objective: This study aims to see how students' risk perceptions relate to their interest in using telemedicine services.

Methods: This study uses a cross-sectional approach. In this study, 213 people were randomly selected from the sample group based on the year of the student's class.

This research instrument is a questionnaire consisting of offline and online questionnaires (Google Forms). This study was conducted from 10 July to 21 August 2023. Data analysis used consisted of univariate tests using the frequency distribution and bivariate tests using the chi-square.

Result: Most students have used telemedicine. The most widely used application is the Halodoc application. The results of the chi-square test show that the p-value is 0.079, which is a value greater than 0.05 with an OR value of 2.091.

Conclusion: This indicates that there is no relationship between students' risk perceptions and their willingness to use telemedicine services. Research on telemedicine needs to be carried out in depth and also try new approaches

EFFECTIVENESS OF ORAL HYGIENE INTERVENTION WITH HONEY IN PREVENTING VENTILATOR-ASSOCIATED PNEUMONIA (VAP) IN PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE FRACTURES

Background: Fracture is the discontinuity of bone, caused by trauma or force. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), fractures have been increasing from 2020 to 2022. In 2020, fractures occurred in 2.7% (13 million people), in 2021 it was 3.8% (20 million people), and in 2022, the incidence rose to 4.2% (21 million people). Most patients diagnosed with fractures are treated in the ICU with mechanical ventilator support through an endotracheal tube (ETT). Prolonged treatment can lead to Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP), which is the most susceptible type of nosocomial infection in the Intensive Care Unit.

Objective:This research aims to examine the effectiveness of oral hygiene using honey in patients with multiple fractures and self-care deficit issues in preventing Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) in the ICU of Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar Hospital.

Method:The method used was a case study employing observation sheets and documentation.

Result: After the intervention was given for 3 consecutive days, the patient experienced oral health improvement, assessed by the BOAS score and MPS score. For the BOAS score, there was a significant change from moderate dysfunction (BOAS score 15) to mild dysfunction (BOAS score 8). For the MPS score, there was a significant change from poor (MPS score 7) to good (MPS score 4).

Conclusion: Based on the evaluation results, it was found that the implementation of oral hygiene using honey can help.

THE EFFECT OF DISASTER PREPAREDNESS TRAINING ON EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESS AT SDN MADANI PALU

Central Sulawesi has a high potential for large-scale disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and liquefaction which can lead to severe physical damage and a high death toll. It is estimated that 60–70% of Indonesia's disaster victims are women, children, and the elderly. Due to their lack of independence, children are among the most vulnerable populations affected by natural disasters. As a result, efforts are required to raise kids' awareness of natural disaster preparedness. This research aims to analyze the effect of disaster preparedness training on elementary school children's preparedness for earthquakes. This study applied a quasi-experimental research, particularly the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. In this case, the samples involved are 40 students of SDN Madani Palu. Furthermore, the test used is the Wilcoxon test and the Mann Whitney test with a significance level of p <0.05. The study's findings revealed a Mann Whitney U-Test score of p = 0.314 (p>0.05), indicating that both the treatment and control groups were equally prepared for earthquakes. However, the post-observation data revealed a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05), indicating a significant difference between the treatment and control groups' levels of earthquakes disaster preparedness. This indicates that improving the level of preparedness for earthquakes disasters is a result of providing SDN Madani Palu children with disaster preparedness training that includes lecture, audio-visual, and simulation methods. It can be concluded that there is an effect of disaster preparedness training on the preparedness of elementary school children for earthquake disasters

OVERVIEW OF ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AT AN-NISA HOSPITAL TANGERANG

Background: Identifying organizational culture is crucial for an organization as it can boost overall productivity. Organizations in the economic, social, and educational sectors have extensively identified their cultures, but few hospitals in Indonesia have followed suit.
Objective: To determine the culture that is currently felt and preferred by employees at AN-NISA Hospital Tangerang.
Methods The research method used quantitative descriptive analysis by distributing questionnaires to 266 respondents who were permanent employees of AN-NISA Hospital Tangerang.
Result: The results of the study show that the current organizational culture at AN-NISA Hospital Tangerang is Clan, with an average of 38.42, and the preferred culture at AN-NISA Hospital Tangerang is Clan and Market, with an average of 27.11 and 25.49.
Conclusion: AN-NISA Hospital Tangerang will continue to consider the institution as a second home, family, and open to telling stories about themselves. However, AN-NISA Hospital Tangerang hopes to have leaders who can set an example as individuals who are serious, focused, aggressive, and results-oriented. Growth, innovation, and achievement of goals were aggressively developed to make AN-NISA Hospital Tangerang an excellent hospital among the others.
