Abstract

The main problems in this research are: What is the missionary's strategy for minimizing public trust in the Petta Pallase'-Lase'E grave in Lalabata Village, Tanete Rilau District, Barru Regency, which has the following objectives: 1) To describe the preaching method of the preacher in minimizing public trust in the Petta Pallase'-Lase'E grave in Lalabata Village, Tanete Rilau District, Barru Regency; 2) To describe the inhibiting factors of preachers in minimizing public trust in the Petta Pallase'-Lase'E grave in Lalabata Village, Tanete Rilau District, Barru District.

This type of research is descriptive-qualitative researchs. This research was conducted in Lalabata Village, Tanete Rilau District, and Barru Regency. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments were interview guides, pens, and books for recording interview results, as well as the use of smartphones as a tool for collecting documentary data in the form of pictures of interviews.

The results of this study indicate that the preacher's strategy in minimizing public trust in the Petta Pallase'-Lase'E grave in Lalabata Village, Tanete Rilau District, Barru Regency is by preaching through three methods of preaching, namely: 1). the method of da'wah bil-al wisdom; 2). the method of da'wah al-maw'-izah al-hasanah; and 3). the method of da'wah bil muj is. The inhibiting factors for the missionary in minimizing public trust in the Petta Pallase'-Lase'E grave are three factors, namely: 1). different people's beliefs; 2). community employment factors; and 3). age difference factors.

The implications of this research are that preachers will never get bored and tired of conveying their da'wah and giving people an understanding of the values of monotheism and polytheism.
