TRADISI MASSANRA GALUNG PADA MASYARAKAT ABBUMPUNGENG KECAMATAN KAJUARA KABUPATEN BONE
Abstract
This research aims to look at the process of implementing massanra galung transactions (pawning rice fields) and how the community views the use of pawned goods in Abbumpungeng Village, Kajuara District, Bone Regency. This type of research is descriptive-qualitative, with a case study approach through interviews and observation as data collection techniques. The results of this research found that the process of implementing massanra galung was in accordance with Islamic law and the use of pawned goods in massanra galung (pawning rice fields) carried out by the community in Abbumpungeng village, Kajuara subdistrict, Bone district, was not in accordance with Islamic law because the pawn contract used in Islamic law was a contract tabarru or mutual help. But what happened in Abbumpungeng village was that the pawn recipient used the rice fields, which were used as collateral by the pawn giver, so there was an element of usury and injustice towards the pawn giver.
