POLA PENGASUHAN ANAK DI PANTI ASUHAN RAHMAT AZIZAH KABUPATEN GOWA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of parenting carried out at the Rahmat Azizah Orphanage, Gowa Regency. The type of research used is qualitative research, data sources are obtained from key informants through direct interviews and supported by literature studies such as books, journals and other references. The data collection method was carried out by observation, interviews and documentation, then the data analysis technique was carried out by means of data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions.

The results showed that the fulfillment of children's basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter depended on donors and if there were foster children who were sick and needed hospital treatment, the manager did not use KIS but only used the network and administrators were directly involved as social workers so that the coordination to the Department of Social Affairs and the hospital is quite good. The fostering of reading the Qur'an in addition to having permanent teachers also accepts teachers from outside who want to volunteer to teach reading the Qur'an to the children who are fostered at the orphanage. Parenting is done with love like biological children without discriminating between one another. In applying discipline, the orphanage manager provides punishment for memorizing short suras or prayers and their meanings for children who commit violations.
