PEMBERDAYAAN PETANI BAWANG MERAH TERHADAP KESEJAHTERAAN KELUARGA KOLAI KABUPATEN ENREKANG

Abstract

Research on the empowerment of shallot farmers on family welfare aims to determine the empowerment of shallot farmers and inhibiting factors, supporting the empowerment of shallot farmers by using qualitative research which is to describe the conditions factually and systematically about empowering onion farmers to family welfare.

The results of the study found that red onion farmers were empowered by the local government and agricultural extension officers to be able to create a prosperous family. The form of shallot farmers empowerment in creating a prosperous family is, 1) shallot farmers join farmer groups, 2) shallots farmers are given an understanding of good and correct shallot farming. Factors inhibiting the empowerment of shallot farmers in creating a prosperous family, namely, 1) prices that are not fixed, 2) lack of road access. Factors supporting the empowerment of shallot farmers in realizing a prosperous family, namely, 1) climate and weather that support, 2) the availability of extensive land.
