Abstract

This study was conducted to obtain an overview of the resilience of families of victims of landslides in Cimenyan District, Bandung, West Java. This study uses a qualitative approach, and descriptive case studies strategy, which present a complete description of a phenomenon observed in a real context. The informants from this study consisted of three families of landslide victims in three villages in the Cimenyan District of Bandung, who were included in the category of landslide prone, with purposive approach, and determination of informants with certain considerations. The technique of collecting data through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The analysis of the data used is starting from unit processing, categorization and data interpretation. The results of this study indicate that resilience in the three families of the landslide victims is still low. This is indicated by the failure to fulfill the aspects of family protection and recovery properly, as a building aspect of family resilience. Resilience, health, use of time, and routines, show low data as a protective factor for the family. And also flexibility, social support, and hope, it is also not implemented well in the family environment as a factor in family recovery. Victims of landslides in Cimenyan need a program that aims to provide additional knowledge and practical skills to the families of victims of landslides, to increase the level of mitigation and family resilience in the face of disasters.
