https://journal3.uin-alauddin.ac.id/index.php/join/article/view/50902

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is estimated to affect 1 in 59 children and this number continues to increase each year. Children with ASD have the same basic healthcare needs as children without disabilities and benefit from the same health promotion and disease prevention activities. The purpose of this study was to identify research interventions for children with ASD in various healthcare settings. This literature search used the PCC (Population, Content, and Context) method with Boolean conjunctions “AND” and “OR”. The databases used in this literature search were EBSCO, Clinical Key Nursing, and PubMed with a search strategy using the keywords Pediatric OR Child AND Autism Spectrum Disorder OR Autism AND Management OR Intervention OR Treatment OR Guideline. Articles included in the review results included articles with a publication year range of 2009-2019, original articles, and research involving the concept of ASD in children. From the search results of various databases, 8 articles of the latest findings were obtained with the implementation of interventions in minimizing disorders that occur in children with ASD with 5 Randomized Control Trial article designs, 2 articles with quasi-experimental, and 1 qualitative article. The results of this literature were then managed into 2 major themes that became components of the discussion of this writing, namely behavioral development, social interaction, and communication. Nurses are considered responsible for following up on various medical care plans that can be very difficult with children with autism. The most important role of a nurse in autism is essentially providing education to parents/caregivers to meet the needs of children with ASD.
Akifa SyahrirSri Hartini

https://journal3.uin-alauddin.ac.id/index.php/join/article/view/44597

Decubitus ulcers or what can be called bed sores are wounds that occur due to the skin of certain parts of the body being pressed for a long period of time due to bed rest. As an effort to prevent decubitus ulcers, skin care is carried out using olive oil as a moisturizer. The research method used is a case study. The data analysis used in this case study is a nursing process approach model which consists of stages: nursing assessment, analysis of problem formulation and nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, evaluation and nursing documentation. The results of the case study after nursing action was carried out in the form of administering olive oil for 3 days as a moisturizer showed that the condition of the skin that was under pressure remained intact, there were no signs of decubitus wounds, and the skin's moisture was maintained.
Muhammad Hafidh TaqiuddinMaria KomariahRian Hara Permana

https://journal3.uin-alauddin.ac.id/index.php/join/article/view/51688

ABSTRACT

Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that occurs because the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. The general effects of uncontrolled diabetes can lead to serious complications over time. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the survival of diabetes mellitus sufferers with diabetic ulcers at RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo and Ibnu Sina Hospital, Makassar City.

Method: This research is an analytical observational study with a retrospective cohort design. The study population was all patients suffering from DM with diabetic ulcers and recorded in medical records. The research was carried out by tracing the medical records of 100 samples of DM sufferers with diabetic ulcers. Data were analyzed using Kaplan-Meier (p, 0.05) and Cox regression (p<0.25).

Results: The results of research with Kaplan Meier show that the factors that influence the survival of diabetes mellitus sufferers with diabetic ulcers are total cholesterol levels (p=0.000), HDL levels (p=0.004), triglyceride levels (p=0.011), and duration of DM ( p=0.000). From multivariate analysis using Cox Regression, the Hazard Ratio (HR) for total cholesterol levels = 11.441 and HR for long DM = 11.829. Conclusion: Avoiding risk factors can influence the survival probability of diabetes mellitus sufferers with diabetic ulcers at RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo and Ibnu Sina Hospital, Makassar City.

Keywords: Survival, Diabetes Mellitus, Diabetic Ulcer
Andi Nailah Amirullah NailahAnggraeniKarmila Sukri

https://journal3.uin-alauddin.ac.id/index.php/join/article/view/51659

The effect of counseling on selfcare behavior type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at lawawoi community health center sidrap regency. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease that occurs either when the pancreas does not produce insulin or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. Type 2 diabetes mellitus occurs due to progressive loss of beta cell insulin secretion along with insulin resistance. The prevalence of diabetes mellitus worldwide is increasing from year to year. According to data, around 422 million people worldwide suffer from diabetes mellitus. Diabetes is expected to rank in the top 10 causes of death globally by 2022, according to data released by the World Health Organization (WHO). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of counseling on selfcare behavior in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Lawawoi Health Center, Sidrap Regency in 2024. This type of research is quantitative research with the Quasy experiment method using a one group pre-posttest design approach where, after the first measurement (pre-test), then an intervention (treatment/action) is given, after which the next measurement (post-test) is carried out which occurs after the treatment is given. The results of the Wicoxon Test Distribution on the Self-care Behavior variable and Counseling Variable show that the significance value of the p-value is 0.05 < 0.000, which means that the Null Hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and meaningful. There is a significant influence between counseling on the selfcare behavior of people with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Lawawoi Health Center, Sidrap Regency.
AsnuddinMuhammad Ardianto RodinWilda Rezki PratiwiSahriah
