<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Literatify : Trends in Library Developments</strong> is an academic journal that publishes issues regarding library developments. The journal is a bi-annual publication officially organized and published by <strong><a style="text-decoration: none;" title="Perpustakaan UIN Alauddin" href="http://perpustakaan.uin-alauddin.ac.id/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UPT Perpustakaan</a></strong> <a href="https://repositori.uin-alauddin.ac.id/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>(Repository Unit)</strong></a>. The journal is provided for librarians, subject analysts, library science students, information specialists, information managers, and researchers who need or are interested in keeping up to date with the most recent issues and developments in libraries. We regularly publish the issues in March and September. The journal only accepts research-based papers. All submitted papers will initially review by journal editors, and if it was matched the journal's scope, the paper will then be sent to our peer-reviewers. <p><em>University libraries have transformed with information technology, one of which is through Institutional Repositories that manage the scientific works of the academic community. This study aims to determine the management model of the Institutional Repository at the University of Mataram. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with informants from the IT Division, IT Staff, Circulation Staff, as well as Processing and Technical Service Staff of the UPT Library of the University of Mataram. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The study results indicate that the repository management has been implemented effectively through planning, organizing, execution, as well as monitoring and evaluation stages. Planning includes benchmarking, human resource management, infrastructure planning, and content management. Organization is divided into human resource management and library material management. Implementation consists of deposit and service activities, while evaluation is carried out periodically and incidentally.The implications of this research can serve as an evaluation material for university library managers to develop repository management and as a reference for future research on institutional repository management.</em></p>RidwanHirma SusilawatiMuhammad Soadikin

<p><em>This study examines the role of the UIN Datokarama Palu digital library in enhancing students' reading interest, its impact on reading habits, and its contribution to the transformation of libraries based on social inclusion. Its novelty lies in the synergistic exploration between digital technology and the library’s social services. This research employs a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative data with quantitative data as support. The respondents include library managers, students, and the general public. The findings indicate several accessibility barriers in the digital library, such as application compatibility limitations, features that are still restricted to e-books, lack of support for disabled users, and a limited book collection. Quantitatively, no significant influence was found between digital library usage and students' reading interest. However, the library plays a role in social inclusion-based transformation through training and skill development programs, which support student empowerment. <p><em>Academic library have a significant role in realizing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in the fields of education and research. As a center of information resources, competent librarians are needed, especially in writing scientific papers, which are one of the results of education and training activities. The actions is needed to support the development of science and library services as a research library. However, the interest in writing scientific papers among librarians is still very low, so they must be motivated to produce scientific papers, one of which is through the Libmodo platform. This study aims to determine how to optimize the Libmodo training platform to improve librarians' scientific writing competencies. Using a quantitative approach with descriptive methods and pre-experimental design, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to librarians. The results showed a significant increase in librarian knowledge after participating in the training, which was measured through pretests and posttests. <p><em>This research aims to determine the efforts made by the State Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 2 Madiun Library as well as the obstacles faced in supporting the teaching and learning process of students and educators at the school. This study employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the efforts made by the State Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 2 Madiun Library, which plays a supporting role in the teaching and learning process of students and educators, include library promotion activities, implementing a book rolling program, mandatory library visits, providing teaching aids as learning support, offering e-book services, and providing special collections for teachers. The obstacles faced by the library in supporting the learning process of students and educators include limited break time and the tendency of students to prefer using gadgets over reading physical books. <p><em>This study aims to analyze the achievement of library facilities and infrastructure at SMP 1 Pattallassang and SMP 2 Pattallassang based on the National Library Standards (SNP) for Schools Number 11 of 2017. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with five librarians as data sources. The analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the achievement of library facilities and infrastructure standards in both schools is quite good, although some aspects are still unmet, particularly regarding the library's location, which remains integrated with the school building. Available facilities include work desks and chairs, reading tables and chairs, bookshelves, catalog cabinets, magazine racks, circulation desks, and computer equipment. Librarians strive to meet the standards by providing the necessary facilities. SMP 2 Pattallassang implements a floor-seating method for visitors, while SMP 1 Pattallassang provides two models of reading tables: tables that can be used as classrooms and tables with partitions to enhance visitor comfort. In conclusion, school libraries have met most of the standards, although improvements are still needed in terms of location and certain infrastructure aspect.</em></p>MarniAyu Trysnawati

<p><em>This study discusses the use of artificial intelligence (AI), specifically ChatGPT, in the process of writing scientific publications. ChatGPT, based on the Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) model, significantly aids the writing process by efficiently generating text. While this technology can enhance productivity, there are risks such as plagiarism, information inaccuracies, and a decline in the originality of academic work. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that ChatGPT speeds up the writing process and helps generate ideas, but caution is needed regarding potential biases and ethical concerns. <p><em>This study aims to explore the creativity in spatial design as an effort by librarians to create a recreation-based library space at the Lontara Rumbia Library, UPT SMKN 2 Jeneponto. The research utilizes a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through direct observations and in-depth interviews with librarians, vice-principals, and the school principal. Data analysis involves the collection, reduction, evaluation, and critical interpretation of data to reach conclusions. The results show that the recreation-based spatial arrangement at the Lontara Rumbia Library, UPT SMKN 2 Jeneponto, has developed through the initiative and support from various stakeholders. Strong support from the school, including the principal and vice-principal, has enabled the realization of a comfortable and enjoyable room design. The layout and interior of the room emphasize both physical and psychological aspects. The space is designed to meet needs such as lighting, temperature, and pleasing decoration. Complete recreational facilities, such as a reference reading room, multimedia room, and photo studio, enhance the library's appeal. <p><em>The library café concept introduces innovation in the library world by creating a more modern and comfortable atmosphere. This study aims to analyze the management strategies in planning and organizing The Room 19 as a library café. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach, using observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review as data collection techniques. Data analysis is conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The findings indicate that The Room 19's planning strategy involves environmental analysis, vendor involvement in interior design, and the establishment of a concept inspired by To Room Nineteen, a book by Doris Lessing. The organizational strategy includes forming a structured team consisting of Co-Founder & Management and Library Monitor, with a monthly shift division system. The Room 19 implements an online reservation system via Instagram and schedules visits into three daily shifts, each lasting four hours. Additionally, collaborations with various brands and communities support product offerings and regular activities, while the Opaper application is used for online book borrowing and product transactions. <p><em>This study aims to analyze the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in information literacy education, specifically to understand the experiences and perspectives of students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang regarding the implementation of this technology. The research employs a case study method with a qualitative approach, collecting data through interviews and thematic document analysis. The analysis process involves identifying patterns or themes in the text through selection, coding, and interpretation to gain a deeper understanding of its meaning and context. The findings indicate that AI integration in information literacy education has the potential to enhance accessibility, efficiency, and learning quality. The majority of students responded positively to AI technology, highlighting benefits such as faster and more relevant information access as well as personalized feedback. This suggests that AI can serve as a valuable tool in improving education quality and fostering innovation in learning. However, several challenges remain in AI integration, including data privacy concerns, technological sustainability, and resource disparities. <p><em>Information science has evolved from information management into a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses data management, analysis, and communication, driven by the rise of digital data and the need for effective information management strategies. This field helps address modern challenges, enabling data-driven decision-making and improved communication. This study employs statistical and mathematical methods to collect, analyze, and understand bibliographic data related to articles and journals. Researchers use VOSviewer to visualize and analyze bibliometric networks, including citation relationships, bibliographic coupling, co-citation, or author collaboration. The foundation of modern information theory was established by Claude Shannon and Alan Turing. An analysis of research trends in Information Science Research (ISR) indicates a decline in publications from 2019 to 2024, decreasing from 173 articles in 2019 to only 4 articles in 2024. Of a total of 500 articles, 93.20% were written collaboratively. <p><em>The digital era has prompted online sites to provide an information that aligns with users’ needs. Information accessibility could help bibliophiles in order to retrieve an information and decide on their book preferences effectively and efficiently. This research aims to analyze the correlation between Goodreads’ information quality and bibliophiles’ book preference. Information quality is measured through three (3) indicators: accuracy, timeliness, and relevancy. This research employed a quantitative method through a survey. The sampling method used was simple random sampling due to the homogency of the population. The population consisted of X @basebuku followers whom using Goodreads, in which 230 people, and 70 people were selected. The results, analyzed using Spearman’s Rank Correlation, indicate a moderate correlation between information quality and book preferences. Furthermore, each indicators indicate a correlation with book preferences, yet there’s difference on the strength of correlation. <p><em>The phenomenon of brainrot, or intellectual decline due to excessive information consumption, has become a serious issue in the digital era. Brainrot affects information literacy, knowledge management, and decision-making. This study employs a qualitative method with non-participatory observation to avoid bias. Data is obtained from social media through observations and screenshots of behaviors, expressions, and interaction patterns in reels, photos, and comments. The instruments used include internet networks, devices, and social media accounts. The research findings indicate that brainrot is triggered by an information tsunami, social media algorithms that prioritize viral content, and low information filtering capabilities. Its impacts include decreased focus, critical thinking, and knowledge management effectiveness at both individual and institutional levels. To address this issue, more adaptive information literacy, better digital time management, and the utilization of artificial intelligence-based technology to filter relevant information are necessary. This study aims to provide a deeper understanding of the process and effects of brainrot, as well as strategies to overcome it. <p><em>The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of digital literacy among Generation Z in Sleman Regency in conducting transactions on Shopee. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques come from primary data obtained through distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents, complemented by literature reviews and interviews to strengthen the evidence. The respondents of this study are Generation Z in Sleman Regency. The research findings reveal that the ability of Generation Z in Sleman Regency to use and disseminate information falls into the moderate category, accounting for 87%. The ability to create and collaborate is also in the moderate category, with 48%. The ability to analyze and evaluate falls into the high category, at 45%. Meanwhile, the ability to apply ethical judgment is categorized as moderate, with 93%. Overall, across the four core digital literacy skills, the majority of Generation Z in Sleman Regency who have conducted transactions on Shopee are categorized as moderate, representing 55%. This indicates that most Generation Z in Sleman Regency have fairly good digital literacy, although there remains a small portion with low digital literacy. <p>Perpustakaan digital merupakan salah satu inovasi dalam dunia pengelolaan informasi yang memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk memudahkan akses terhadap berbagai sumber daya informasi. Artikel ini membahas peran perpustakaan digital dalam meningkatkan akses informasi dan memperluas layanan perpustakaan, khususnya melalui aplikasi Enrekang yang dikembangkan oleh Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kabupaten Enrekang. Aplikasi ini memungkinkan masyarakat mengakses buku digital secara online dan offline menggunakan perangkat digital, serta dilengkapi dengan fitur media sosial untuk berbagi rekomendasi dan berdiskusi. Meskipun membawa banyak manfaat, seperti meningkatkan literasi, memperluas jangkauan layanan, dan mempermudah akses, aplikasi ini juga menghadapi tantangan, antara lain keterbatasan koleksi e-book, masalah teknis dalam penggunaan aplikasi, serta kesulitan akses bagi sebagian masyarakat yang kurang familiar dengan teknologi. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi aplikasi Enrekang dan memberikan saran untuk meningkatkan efektivitas aplikasi tersebut. Saran tersebut mencakup peningkatan koleksi e-book, perbaikan sistem pengelolaan konten, peningkatan pelatihan literasi digital bagi masyarakat, dan pengoptimalan aplikasi untuk mengatasi masalah teknis.
