<p><em>Methods and Strategies of Da'wah by Ustadz Abdul Somad Through the Social Media YouTube. The objective of this research is to describe and analyze the methods and strategies of da'wah used by Ustadz Abdul Somad, a preacher originating from the Riau Province. The research scope includes the Al-Hikmah da'wah method employed by Ustadz Abdul Somad on YouTube and the da'wah strategies applied by Ustadz Abdul Somad on YouTube.</em></p> <p><em>The research type utilized is descriptive, with the research approach being a combination of da'wah and communication approaches, specifically da'wah and ethnography with a predominant focus on qualitative methods. Additionally, this research is categorized as "Library Research" (literature-based), drawing from various literature sources, including Ustadz Abdul Somad's own works.</em></p> <p><em>The findings of this research indicate that Ustadz Abdul Somad employs three methods: Al-Hikmah, wherein Ustadz Abdul Somad, as a preacher, sets an example first; Al-Mauidzah Al-Hasanah, where Ustadz Abdul Somad consistently advocates for doing good to everyone; and Al-Mujadalah Al-Ahsan, utilized by Ustadz Abdul Somad in discussions and Q&A sessions, focusing on the sciences of fiqh and Al-Hadith, supported by numerous memorized hadiths with clear chains of narration and their contextual reasons.</em></p> <p><em>The strategies employed by Ustadz Abdul Somad involve a rational approach (Aq’li methodology) and tactical techniques utilizing YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.</em></p> <p><em>The implication of this research is that further studies on da'wah on YouTube in Indonesia are encouraged. This can bring new perspectives to understanding da'wah through increasingly sophisticated social media, which presents both positive and negative aspects for the younger generation in Indonesia.</em></p>Dedek Syahputra, Indo Santalia, Hamiruddin

<p><em>The main issue in this journal is the study of Islamic jurisprudence (fikih) in fostering religious life in Pasilambena District, Kepulauan Selayar Regency, with a focus on group communication. This research emphasizes aspects such as group communication models, group communication activities, and factors supporting and hindering group communication.</em></p> <p><em>To address the research problem, a qualitative research model with four approaches was chosen, namely communication approach, sociological approach, pedagogical approach, and normative approach. The data collection method involves primary data sources and supporting data (secondary) through library research using books, magazines, and field research through observation, interviews, and documentation.</em></p> <p><em>The research instruments include a list of questions (interview guidelines), a laptop, camera, recording tools, notebooks, and pens. Data processing and analysis are conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.</em></p> <p><em>The aim of this research is to realize a substantive, moderate, and enlightening religious life. Group communication analysis is conducted through the development of Islamic jurisprudence studies based on faith, worship, and morality, with an approach of mutual understanding, mutual understanding, and mutual assistance through forums/lectures, discussions/dialogues, and demonstrations/practices, with the application of wisdom and good teaching, in accordance with the authentic Islamic values from the Quran and Hadith.</em></p> <p><em>The research results indicate the importance of group communication models in accelerating and facilitating the understanding of noble Islamic values, thus creating a conducive religious life in Pasilambena District, Kepulauan Selayar Regency. <p><em>This research discusses the communication and negotiation of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in the development program formulation in Parado District, Bima Regency. The research is qualitative in nature with sociological and communication approaches. Data sources include village government, BPD, community leaders, youth leaders, and documents such as annual reports and online news. Data collection methods involve observation, interviews, and documentation. Data processing and analysis are conducted through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.</em></p> <p><em>The research findings indicate that BPD negotiations, particularly in village forums (musdus) and APBDes meetings, tend to be dominated by collaborative negotiations prioritizing openness and solutions beneficial to all parties, although sometimes accommodating limitations in funding and time. Supporting factors for communication include thorough planning, aligned interests, and the availability of facilities and infrastructure. The implication of this research is to provide information for the community to mitigate the risks of unbeneficial development programs and to provide insights into supporting and inhibiting factors in formulating development programs beneficial to all parties.</em></p>Khairatun Hisan, Arifuddin Tike, Kamaluddin Tajibu

<p><em>The main problem in this research is the strategy of Islamic religious counselors in fostering the religious spirit of the community in Dusun Benga, Balassuka Village, Tombolo Pao Subdistrict. From this main problem, the researcher formulates three sub-problems, namely the strategies for fostering the religious spirit by religious counselors. This research is qualitative in nature and utilizes the approach of preaching (dakwah) and communication. The data sources for this research are primary data from religious counselors, community leaders, and local government, using research methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation.</em></p> <p><em>The results of this research indicate that the strategies for fostering the religious spirit in the Benga hamlet include: Islamic preaching (Tablig Islam), organization development/PMI (takwin), and institution management (tadbir). The implications of this research are: 1. Encouraging the community to be more open to receiving religious preaching. 2. Advising religious counselors to enhance their personal qualities and expand the scope of their guidance. 3. <p><em>In the context of rapid social and technological changes, this research aims to delve into the impact of the intensity of Instagram social media usage on the patterns of moderate religious behavior among students of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication at UIN Alauddin Makassar. This study seeks to understand how the existence of social media influences religious dimensions among students.</em></p> <p><em>The research methodology adopts a quantitative approach with an explanatory method to provide insights into the relationship between the intensity of Instagram social media usage (measured by frequency and duration of usage) and moderate religious behavior exhibited by students. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication at UIN Alauddin Makassar.</em></p> <p><em>The findings draw attention to two main aspects: Firstly, the prevalence of Instagram usage is quite high among students of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, with an average usage of 15-18 times a week and a duration of about 9-11 hours per week. Secondly, the findings provide an overview of the low level of moderate religious behavior, with only 46.5% of respondents showing behavior reflecting moderate religious attitudes.</em></p> <p><em>The analysis of the impact of Instagram social media usage on moderate religious behavior indicates that factors such as national commitment (X1), religious tolerance, anti-violence attitudes, and accommodation of local culture have varied effects. It is observed that religious tolerance has a significant influence, reaching 57%, while other variables have lower impacts.</em></p> <p><em>From this research, it can be concluded that awareness of the impact of Instagram social media usage on patterns of moderate religious behavior is important. Despite high social media usage intensity, additional efforts are needed to stimulate moderate religious behavior patterns among students of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication. These findings are expected to provide valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and academics to formulate strategies that support the development of moderate religious behavior in an evolving digital era.</em></p>M. <p><em>This research discusses evolution Auguste Comte's</em><em> or</em><em> three-stage law interacts with the tradition of "tolak bala mappanre tau lotong" in the village of Lallatang, Dua Boccoe District, Bone Regency.</em></p> <p><em>This type of research is classified as qualitative descriptive research, utilizing the following research approaches: Historical approach, anthropological approach, religious approach, and anthropological approach. The data sources for this research include traditional leaders, several community figures, and relevant literature. The data collection methods employed are literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data processing and analysis involve three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.</em></p> <p><em>The results of this research indicate that the tradition of "tolak bala mappanre tau lotong" with its linear pattern aligns with the three-stage law. <p><em>The purpose of this study is to understand the method of Sufi preaching of the Qadiriyah tariqa in religious development in the community of Majene Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research design located in Majene Regency. The research approach used includes the science of preaching, guidance, and communication approach. The primary data source of this research is Ilham Shaleh, the Qadiriyah tariqa murshid, as the Key Informant, additional informants include Muhammad, the chairman of the Kh Muahammad Shaleh Islamic boarding school foundation, the chairman of the Majene District MUI, and the Majene community itself. Secondary data sources include tariqa books and other data sources. Data collection methods include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.</em></p> <p><em>The results of this study indicate that the Sufi preaching method carried out by the Qadiriyah tariqa in Majene Regency is divided into several parts, namely: the practice of dhikr (remembrance of God), recitation of litanies, and the study of Sufi books such as the Jawahirul bihar fifadailil muhtar al-fuyudatul rabbaniyah authored by Sheikh al-Qadri al-Insan al-Kamil, and the Hikam authored by Sheikh Ibnu Hikam as-Sakandar.</em></p> <p><em>The implications of this research are expected to be beneficial to the wider community, particularly to the people of Majene, so that they can emulate and delve deeper into the teachings of the Qadiriyah tariqa as one of the means to become more obedient to the commandments and teachings of Islam. It is also hoped that the Qadiriyah tariqa associations can provide in-depth responses to opinions that may undermine the Qadiriyah tariqa. <p><em>This study focuses on life skill development to address stress among narcotics inmates in Class II B Detention Center in Sinjai Regency, by exploring the employed preaching strategies and the supportive and inhibiting factors in life skill development. The research method employed is qualitative, utilizing data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation, with psychological and preaching approaches. The findings indicate that life skill development with preaching strategies has been successful in aspects such as mandatory literacy, talent and interest development, and entrepreneurship mentoring. Inhibiting factors include differences in inmate characters, illiteracy, minimal mentor human resources, and lack of skills training, while supportive factors consist of adequate facilities and infrastructure and positive responses from inmates. The implications of this study highlight the need for collaboration between the government and the detention center in providing skills training for inmates and mentors, as well as the necessity of continuous training for released inmates to prevent reintegration into negative environments. <p><em>This study aims to describe the values of preaching embedded in the cultural practice of sibaliparri in making lopi sandeq. The research adopts a participatory ethnographic approach with a qualitative method. Data sources include community leaders, religious figures, local residents, fishermen, artisans, and local government officials. Data collection methods consist of interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data authenticity verified through triangulation.</em></p> <p><em>The findings reveal three preaching values inherent in the cultural practice of sibaliparri in making lopi sandeq: brotherhood, compassion, and sincerity. Brotherhood in the production of lopi sandeq serves as a manifestation of preaching values by emphasizing unity in cooperation, overcoming challenges together, and fostering love, care, and respect for differences.</em></p> <p><em>The implications of this study are twofold. First, it aids in promoting and preserving the values of sibaliparri in the community, particularly in the production of lopi sandeq as a form of preaching message, thereby increasing awareness among the community about the importance of sibaliparri in daily life. Second, it contributes to the development of preaching messages within culture and tradition, enhancing the effectiveness of preaching in reaching and influencing the community. <p><em>This research aims to examine efforts to preserve marriage culture in the Towani Tolotang community, Sidrap Regency. The main focus of the research includes understanding the strategies for preserving marriage culture and the application of "equalitarian style" communication in this context.</em></p> <p><em>The research adopts a qualitative approach involving traditional figures, village heads, and the community as key informants. Data collection methods include observation, documentation, and literature review. The data analysis process consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.</em></p> <p><em>The results show that the equalitarian style of communication plays a crucial role in preserving marriage culture in the Towani Tolotang community. The active participation of traditional figures (Uwa') and their community has proven successful in maintaining the consistency of cultural preservation, as reflected in the implementation of marriage traditions, preserved traditional knowledge, as well as costume and jewelry heritage. The equalitarian style of communication dominates every interaction, emphasizing open and two-way communication, a relaxed atmosphere, and without pressure. In the context of marriage, this facilitates maximum message exchange, strengthens interpersonal relationships, and achieves agreements in various aspects of marriage.</em></p> <p><em>This research provides practical implications by emphasizing the importance of developing effective communication approaches to maintain traditions and culture in the Towani Tolotang community. <p><em>The aim of this research is to analyze the preaching activities of the Indonesian Young Preachers Association (IDMI) in promoting religious moderation among the youth in Bantaeng Regency. The study employs a qualitative approach with library research focusing on the preaching activities of IDMI in promoting religious moderation among the youth in Bantaeng Regency. The methods of data collection include interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that IDMI is committed to promoting religious moderation among the youth in Bantaeng Regency, aligned with its vision and mission of creating a religious, peaceful, and optimistically moderate society within the framework of the unitary state of Indonesia. Solidarity among IDMI members is highly valued, with a commitment to maintaining harmony within the organization and welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds except those with extremist ideologies. IDMI serves as a platform in Bantaeng Regency for preachers to join regardless of their backgrounds, fostering organizational harmony and providing opportunities for skill development. The mission of IDMI, focusing on promoting religious moderation, contributes to nation-building by emphasizing preaching, education, and understanding related to the unity of the Indonesian state, including Quranic and Hadith studies and understanding the principles of the Indonesian state.</em></p>Isnaeni, Abdul Rasyid Masri, Sakaruddin
