This research is quantitative in nature, using the ex post facto method. The scientific approach applied includes managerial and sociological perspectives. The population in this study consists of all 66 civil servants at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports in Mamuju Regency. The sampling technique employed is non-probability sampling using a saturated sample, resulting in 66 respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents, and the data obtained were analyzed using statistical analysis. Hypothesis testing was conducted using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results of the study at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports in Mamuju Regency demonstrate that leadership positively influences the performance of civil servants. This indicates that when leadership is applied effectively, the quality of civil servant services to the public improves at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports in Mamuju Regency. Work discipline can be a key to success in human resource management. This article aims to elucidate the importance of work discipline development as a key to success in human resource management. The article is described using library research with a qualitative approach. The data processed are derived from various sources, including books, journal articles, and previous studies. The analytical technique used is descriptive analysis of various integrated sources. This research reveals that the approach to work discipline should be tailored to the individual's condition and specific employee situation. The application of preventive, corrective, and progressive discipline in this context represents different approaches that can be effectively integrated to prevent, correct, and address violations sustainably. The study introduces the concept that work discipline encompasses various aspects, including adherence to job descriptions, dress code, and workplace maintenance, which are often overlooked in previous literature. This emphasizes the need for a more holistic view of work discipline beyond mere punctuality.</em></p> M. This study uses a qualitative method with a management approach. Data were obtained through documentation, observation, and interviews. Several informants who served as data sources for this research include the principal, supervisors, and teachers of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Tarbiyah Takalar. Data processing and analysis techniques were carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the principal's strategies in developing teachers' pedagogical competence are carried out through transformational and facilitative strategies. Several forms of teacher competence development conducted by the principal of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Tarbiyah Takalar include: 1) inspiring and motivating teachers to continuously develop their competencies through Teacher Working Group activities; 2) facilitating teachers by helping them develop their individual capabilities through workshops that support pedagogical competence; 3) evaluating and supervising teachers by conducting Teacher Performance Assessments to ensure they teach well and professionally. This research implies the importance of various efforts to enhance teacher competence, such as more intensive workshops for teachers and facilitating teachers to improve their pedagogical competence, because professional teachers will produce quality students.</em></p> Masriadi Baharuddin Muhammad Rusmin B Copyright (c) 2024 Nazzama: Journal of Management Education 2024-09-30 2024-09-30 4 1 27 39 10.24252/jme.v4i1.50390 THE PRINCIPAL'S STRATEGY IN INCREASING STUDENT INTEREST AT MTS MUHAMMADIYAH BONTORITA https://journal3.uin-alauddin.ac.id/index.php/nazzama/article/view/51038 <p><em>This study describes the strategies employed by the principal of MTs Muhammadiyah Bontorita, Takalar Regency, to increase the interest of prospective students. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation and interview techniques. Informants in this study included the principal, teachers, students, and parents. Data processing and analysis techniques were conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Technique and source triangulation were used to test the validity of the data. The results of the study indicate that the principal's strategy begins with internal and external analysis, socialization, collaboration with institutions, and promotion through social media, using a SWOT analysis approach. In its implementation, this strategy involves all components of the madrasah and focuses on direct socialization to schools, improving the quality of education, and enhancing the madrasah's image through activities that attract prospective students. The evaluation results show an increase in the number of registrants each year, although challenges such as human resource competencies and public perception remain. This study emphasizes the importance of developing more focused promotional efforts and strengthening collaboration with external parties to enhance promotional effectiveness and strengthen the madrasah's image in the community.</em></p> Muhammad Aksin Suarso Baharuddin Muhammad Rusmin B. It is a library research study. Data were obtained based on a literature review from various sources. The data analysis technique was conducted through content analysis or in-depth analysis related to the focus of the study, which includes the definition, types, objectives, factors affecting compensation, as well as the principles and methods of compensation provision. The research instrument was the researcher them self. The data obtained were then interpreted using a descriptive qualitative method. This study found that an organization's performance is determined by how well its leadership can create and encourage employee performance to achieve established goals. Compensation provision is one of the efforts to improve employee performance. The level of satisfaction derived from the compensation provided can influence employee motivation to work harder to achieve organizational goals. The research employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto method. The respondents were 42 students at Guppi Samata Private High School. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, and the data obtained were processed and analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results of the study demonstrated that teachers' professional competence and the use of learning media had a significant influence on learning effectiveness at Guppi Samata Private High School. Teachers with professional competence can creatively utilize learning media to enhance students' understanding, engagement, as well as critical thinking and collaboration skills. This study employs a qualitative descriptive research method. The primary data for this research were gathered through interviews conducted by the researcher with informants from SMPIT Al-Ashri Makassar, including the principal, vice principal, teaching staff, school committee, and parents of students. Data collection techniques involved observation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out by organizing the data, breaking it down into analytical units, synthesizing the data, identifying patterns, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was tested using source and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that female school leadership at SMPIT Al-Ashri Makassar effectively addresses gender challenges through an empathetic and collaborative approach, creating a productive work environment. This research is qualitative in nature. Data sources were obtained through observations and interviews with the principal, treasurer, and teachers of MTs Pesantren Tarbiyah Palleko. The data processing and analysis techniques were carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of this study show that the planning of SBM at MTs Pesantren Tarbiyah Takalar is conducted collaboratively, focusing on the preparation of the School Activity and Budget Plan (RKAM) to ensure proper resource allocation for teacher welfare. The transparent and accountable implementation of SBM in financial management has improved teacher welfare and education quality. Ongoing supervision through monitoring and evaluation ensures that planned programs run according to objectives, maintain accountability, and support teacher welfare.</em></p> Herlinah Erwin Hafid Baharuddin Copyright (c) 2024 Nazzama: Journal of Management Education 2024-09-30 2024-09-30 4 1 97 108 10.24252/jme.v4i1.50391 THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SCHOOL CULTURE MANAGEMENT IN A SPECIAL HIGH SCHOOL FOR SPORTS TALENTS, SOUTH SULAWESI https://journal3.uin-alauddin.ac.id/index.php/nazzama/article/view/50667 <p><em>This study aims to describe the implementation of the planning, execution, evaluation, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of school culture at a Special High School for Sports Talents, South Sulawesi. This research is a qualitative study. Data sources were directly obtained from the school principal, vice principal, and teaching staff. Data were collected through three methods: observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that: 1) the planning of school culture is carried out by setting school objectives in line with the school's vision, mission, and goals, developing school culture development programs, identifying supporting and inhibiting factors of school culture, and determining strategies for implementing school culture; 2) the implementation of school culture is evidenced by the commitment to its implementation, providing role models to students in the execution of school culture, and efforts to integrate school culture into the learning process; 3) the evaluation of school culture is conducted through direct personal monitoring or by delegation over student activities within the school environment; 4) the supporting factors for the implementation of school culture include school culture monitoring by teachers, involvement of all elements to ensure the success of school culture implementation, supportive school facilities, and learning processes that integrate school culture. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor in the implementation of school culture is the students' lack of awareness of discipline.
