Abstract

Cultural changes in daily life are influenced by advances in technology, information, and computer development. This also gave birth to a new pattern in the world of commerce. Nowadays, the mainstay that is widely applied by society is e-commerce (electronic commerce). Despite the various conveniences offered by this technology, there are also concerns of Indonesian Muslims regarding its fiqh law. The research aims to analyze e-commerce transactions in the perspective of Islamic economics. The results of the analysis show that technically, e-commerce transactions, whether it is the sale of goods or services, can be analogized to the sale of al-salam, which has been legalized since the beginning of Islam through the Prophet's Sunnah. The use of e-commerce in Indonesia is permitted as long as both parties understand each other. In addition, this article aims to provide general guidelines for e-commerce users in conducting business.
