Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the rules and procedures governing legal cases in Indonesian Religious Courts which function as a forum for Muslims to resolve civil disputes. To prevent conflict and quarrels in families, religious courts were formed as state institutions. These courts protect the rights and responsibilities of all Muslim citizens in trying certain civil cases, including cases involving wills and all related issues. This has the potential to uphold justice while supporting high-quality legal services in Indonesia's diverse Islamic society. The research methodology used is called normative legal studies or literature studies. Includes the use of reference data from books, journals, legal theories, court decisions, and other relevant sources related to the research topic. After that it is clarified and emphasized to avoid misunderstandings.

Abstrak
Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aturan dan prosedur yang mengatur perkara hukum di pengadilan Agama Indonesia yang berfungsi sebagai wadah bagi umat islam untuk menyelesaikan perselisihan perkara perdata. Untuk mencegah terjadinya konflik dan pertengkaran dalam keluarga, maka dibentuklah pengadilan agama sebagai lembaga negara. Pengadilan-pengadilan ini melindungi hak-hak dan tanggung jawab seluruh warga negara Muslim dalam mengadili kasus-kasus perdata tertentu, termasuk kasus-kasus yang melibatkan wasiat dan semua permasalahan terkait. Hal ini berpotensi menegakkan keadilan sekaligus mendukung layanan hukum berkualitas tinggi dalam masyarakat Islam Indonesia yang majemuk. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan disebut studi hukum normatif atau studi kepustakaan. Meliputi penggunaan data referensi dari buku, jurnal, teori hukum, putusan pengadilan, dan sumber lain yang relevan terkait dengan topik penelitian. Setelah itu diperjelas dan ditekankan untuk menghindari kesalahpahaman.
