Abstract
This research explains the principles and concepts of Islamic economic theory during the reign of the Umayyad Dynasty in Andalusia. The study employs a descriptive qualitative research methodology, primarily gathering data through library research. We obtain information by tracing literature from various sources, such as books and journals, that share similarities with the discussion theme. The result of this research is that the Umayyad dynasty, during its establishment, had 16 caliphs during its heyday. However, significant progress was made, particularly under the leadership of four caliphs: Abdurrahman I, Abdurrahman III, al-Hakam II, and al-Hajib al-Mansur Billa, also known as Muhammad II. In addition to the four caliphs, there are several notable figures known for their economic thought, including Ibn Hazm, Ibn Thufail, Ibn Rusydi, Imam Shatibi, and Ibn Khladun. These five figures made significant contributions to the development of economic thought during the Umayyad Daulah in Andalusia.
