Building superior performance: the role of work ethics in a university
Abstrak
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional, yang bertujuan untuk meneliti hubungan antara dua variabel utama: Etika kerja Islam dan kinerja pegawai di Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar. Penelitian ini mencakup populasi sebanyak 218 orang, dengan jumlah sampel 66 orang pegawai yang dipilih melalui metode simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pemberian kuesioner, dan data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik penilaian. Analisis yang dilakukan meliputi penerapan uji korelasi product moment, uji F, uji hipotesis dua sisi, dan uji Chi-square. Berdasarkan temuan–temuan yang telah diuraikan pada bagian sebelumnya dari penelitian ini. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara etika kerja Islam dengan kinerja pegawai UIN Alauddin Makassar. Kesimpulan ini membuktikan dengan nilai signifikan sebesar 0.00 yang lebih dari 0.05 dan Fhitung = 17.048 lebih besar dari Ftabel = 3.98. Hasilnya H1 diterima, sedangkan H0 ditolak, hal ini menegaskan adanya penagruh yang signifikan antara etika kerja Islam dan kinerja pegawai.
