Journal History

Ihyaussunnah Journal will in principle start publishing in the online form in 2021, however, it will officially have an online ISSN in 2022. This journal aims to publish manuscripts on hadith, related hadith sciences, and qualitative research related to the implementation of Prophetic traditions in the lives of Muslims and published by the Hadith Science Study Program of the Postgraduate Program of Alauddin Makassar State Islamic University. It is published in two issues in each volume; each about ulumul hadith and living sunnah.
Volume 1 issues 1 and 2 and volume 2 issue 1 are still published in Indonesian and English, but volume 2 issue 2 has been published in full English. This process coincides with the principle change in the journal template, leading to the need to publish reputable international journals. That is why there were significant changes in the publication of Volume 2 Issue 2, including the involvement of editors and reviewers from various countries.
Prof. Kamaruddin Amin, Ph.D. one of the hadith experts who graduated from the University of Bonn, Germany was appointed as editor-in-chief and accompanied by Prof. Zulfahmi Alwi, MA. Ph.D. and Dr. Darsul S Puyu (Assoc. Prof.) as the managing editors to develop the ihyaussunnah journal into an internationally reputable journal.
