BIAYA DALAM UPACARA KAI SUKU GALELA (Studi Desa Simau Kecamatan Galela Halmahera Utara)
Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna biaya dalam upacara Kai Suku Galela (Studi Kasus di Desa Simau Kecamatan Galela Kabupaten Halmahera Utara). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan wawancara terhadap beberapa informan yang mempunyai pengetahuan mendalam tentang upacara Kai..
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian masyarakat dalam memaknai biaya dalam perayaan upacara Kai sebagai sebagai ajang berkumpulnya keluarga. Biaya yang diperoleh dalam upacara Kai tidak identik dengan biaya-biaya yang diterapkan dalam sistem bisnis. Biaya yang dikeluarkan dalam upacara Kai Suku Galela terdiri dari biaya mahar, biaya antar kerugian (rugi madota), biaya Fatingara dan biaya biaya asal Madola.
