Abstrak
Pembahasan tentang “Menciptakan Lingkungan Belajar dengan Latar Motivasi dalam Belajar dan Pembelajaran Menuju Terbentuknya Perkembangan Pribadi, Sosial dan Moral” dalam jurnal ini, difokuskan pada buku karangan Anita Woolfolk dengan judul Educational Psychology: Active Learning Edition, yang dikembangkan dengan melihat manfaat penting dari chapter tersebut disertai dengan implikasinya dalam pendidikan dan pengajaran di sekolah.
Lingkungan belajar yang positif harus diciptakan dan dipertahankan sepanjang tahun. Salah satu caranya adalah mencegah timbulnya masalah yang dapat mengganggu pembelajaran. Dalam hal ini diperlukan respon yang tepat dari guru ketika menghadapi berbagai problem yang dialami oleh siswa.
Para ahli pendidikan setuju bahwa motivasi siswa merupakan salah satu tugas kritis pengajaran. Sebagian psikolog menjelaskan motivasi dalam kaitannya dengan trait (ciri-sifat) personal atau karakteristik individu. Orang-orang tertentu menurut teori ini, memiliki kebutuhan yang kuat untuk berprestasi, takut menghadapi tes, atau minat yang tidak pernah padam pada seni (jadi mereka bekerja keras). Psikolog lain melihat motivasi sebagai state (keadaan), sebuah situasi temporer. Motivasi pada waktu tertentu biasanya merupakan kombinasi antara trait dan state.
Perkembangan pribadi, sosial dan moral merupakan aspek penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Setiap anak memiliki perkembangan pribadi, sosial dan moral yang berbeda-beda. Pembelajaran yang ideal tentunya mengarah kepada pembentukan pribadi setiap siswa, yang diharapkan mampu melakukan sosialisasi dengan lingkungannya berdasarkan nilai-nilai moral yang ada dalam masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, guru dalam hal ini dituntut untuk melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pembentukan pribadi, sosial dan moral siswa.
