IMPROVEMENT TO STUDENTS' ACHIEVEMENT IN PROCEDURAL TEXT COMPOSITION THROUGH PROCESS APPROACH-BASED MIND MAPPING EMPLOYMENT
Abstrak
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada peningkatan yang signifikan dalam prestasi menulis siswa setelah diajar menggunakan Mind Mapping Berbasis Pendekatan Proses, serta aspek menulis siswa mana yang paling meningkat. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pra eksperimen dilakukan dengan melibatkan 15 siswa kelas IX SMPN 38 Bandar Lampung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes menulis yang dianalisis menggunakan Paired Sample T-test melalui SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prestasi menulis siswa meningkat secara signifikan dari pretest ke posttest setelah diajar menggunakan Mind Mapping Berbasis Pendekatan Proses dan aspek menulis yang paling meningkat adalah isi. Pendekatan Pemetaan Pikiran Berbasis Proses dapat digunakan untuk membantu siswa mengatur pemikiran mereka dengan memungkinkan brainstorming individu menggunakan bagan dan memberikan siswa arahan penulisan terstruktur. Pendekatan Proses menekankan empat tahap kunci: perencanaan, penyusunan, pengeditan (merefleksikan dan merevisi), dan versi final.
