VOX POPULI

Vox Populi (VP) is a periodical journal published twice a year (June and December) by the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Ushuluddin, Philosophy and Politics, Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar, Indonesia. Vox Populi was first published in 2010 in a print edition. Initially, this journal was intended for lecturers, academics, researchers, and the general public. However, for one reason or another, this journal no longer publishes the next issue. Currently, Vox Populi feels the need to republish academic research works that are considered important for the public to know. Starting Volume 2 Number 1 June 2019, Vox Populi is available Online (OJS). On December 9, 2021, Vox Populi has been accredited with SINTA 5 based on No. Certificate: 158/E/KPT/2021.

This journal aims to publish academic works whose main topic is Politics in the Southeast Asian Region, especially in Indonesia. Therefore, the scope of this journal includes, namely Islamic Politics, Democracy, Social Movements, Elections, Political Parties, Political Sociology, and Government.

To improve the quality of articles and make it easier to edit manuscripts, the editor of Vox Populi still maintains the old template but changes the reference writing style to APA Style. This change began to be implemented in Volume 5 Number 2 of 2022. This was done by the editors to facilitate the work of the author and editors.
