PENINGKATAN MUTU PENDIDIKAN MADRASAH DALAM SISTEM PENDIDIKAN NASIONAL DI KOTA PALOPO TAHUN 2011-2012
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk; (1) melakukan pemetaan terhadap mutu pendidikan menurut Standar Nasional Pendidikan di Kota Palopo. (2) menjelaskan faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat mutu pendidikan madrasah, (3) mengimplementasikan peningkatan mutu pendidikan madrasah dan upaya mengatasi penghambat berdasarkan sistem pendidikan nasional di Kota Palopo. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan dan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan historis, sosiologis dan holistik-integratif, kemudian data dikumpulkan di lapangan dengan metode: observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) mutu pendidikan madrasah di Kota Palopo sudah memenuhi standar nasional pendidikan yaitu: standar isi, proses, kompetensi lulusan, pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, sarana prasarana, peneglolaan, pembiayaan, dan enilaian pendidikan. (2) faktor pendukung pada MTsN Palopo yaitu potensi calon peserta didik, kurikulum dan jumlah tenaga pendidik dan faktor penghambat yaitu, kurikulum, faktor profrsionalisme tenaga pendiik, sarana prasarana, dan kurangnya minat belajar peserta didik. Adapun pada Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Palopo, faktor pendukungnya adalah kurikulum, tenaga pendidik, sarana prasarana. Adapun faktor penghambatnya adalah input peserta didik yang rendah kualitasnya dan faktor pengelolaan yang harusditingkatkan. (3) implentasi peningkatan mutu pendidikan madrasah dan upaya mengatasi hambatannya pada MTsN dan MAN Palopo telah memenuhi Standar Nasional Pendidikan.
ABSTRACT
This research is aimed: (1) Doing mapping towards the education quality based on education National standard qt Palopo (2) explaining the supporting factors and hampering factors towards the quality of Islamic education (3) describing the implentation of the islamic education quality improvement and effors to solve the hampering factors based on national education system. Research methods used in this research are library research and field research method by using history, sociology and integrative holistic approaches. Then, the data were collected through obeservation, inteview, docomentation and triangulation. The findings of the research are: (1) the quality of Islamic High School in Palopo have fulfilled the requirement of education national standard, namely; content standard, process, graduate standards, teachers and staff, infrasutrcture, management, funding, and evaluation. (2) supporting factors for MTsN Palopo were potential of students candidate, while the hampering factors were: curriculum, teachers infrastucture and the low of students motivation in learning. In MAN Palopo, the supporting factor was curriculum, teachers and infrastucture. While the hampering factors were low quality of students candidate (raw input), and the school management should be improved. (3) the implementation of Islamic education quality improvement and the efforts to solve the problem from the hampering factors based on the national education system in Palopo.
