IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INDEPENDENT CURRICULUM MANAGEMENT IN SD NEGERI 2 KAMPUNG BARU MAJENE REGENCY
Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of independent curriculum management at SD Negeri 2 Kampung Baru, Majene Regency with reference to the scope of management starting from planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum. This research uses qualitative research. Data collection techniques use interviews and observation. The research data was obtained from several sources, such as from headmaster, teachers and school committees. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The results showed that the implementation of independent curriculum management at SD Negeri 2 Kampung Baru was carried out through 4 stages, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum. The results of the implementation of curriculum management carried out by the principal of SD Negeri 2 Kampung Baru, Majene Regency, used a grass roots approach and model or all activities focused from below, in this case the teacher as the central curriculum. The supporting factors for the implementation of the independent curriculum consist of: 1) the school is a driving school; b) adequate building facilities and human resources; 3) the good relationship between the principal and the teacher, while the inhibiting factors consist of: 1) the teacher still does not understand the independent curriculum; 2) IT facilities such as internet are still poor; and 3) there is still a lack of textbooks as a source of learning. The implications of this research are that it is hoped that teachers will improve their understanding and literacy regarding the independent curriculum and always try to improve their competence because they have a big role in the implementation of learning.
