MANAGERIAL SUPERVISION IN IMPROVING EFFECTIVE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT
Abstract
This study aims to determine planning as a fundamental function in management. This research is a type of qualitative research whose research method produces descriptive data obtained from various books, articles and journals related to managerial supervision in increasing effective school management. The discussion of this research discusses several things including; (1) Definition of managerial supervision, (2) Principles of managerial supervision, (3) Methods of managerial supervision, (4) Implementation of managerial supervision, (5) objectives of managerial supervision. Managerial supervision in the context of education has a very important role in promoting effective learning in schools. Managerial supervision involves school principals and other school staff in managing various aspects of education that contribute to the quality of learning. The purpose of this study is to understand the concept of managerial supervision and the role of supervision in its implementation so that it can contribute to increasing effective learning in schools. In this study, a literature study and literature analysis was carried out to collect information and understanding of managerial supervision in the educational context. The results of the study show that managerial supervision can have a positive influence in increasing effective school management. Through managerial supervision, school principals can carry out effective supervision and management of educational aspects, such as curriculum, student affairs, infrastructure, school and community relations, financial administration, personnel, culture and school environment. In its implementation, managerial supervision requires a systematic and planned approach. Principals need to have good managerial skills in managing and leading school staff, as well as implementing effective supervision practices. In addition, managerial supervision also requires good collaboration and communication between school principals, teachers and other school staff.
