IMPLEMENTATION OF EDUCATIONAL SUPERVISION AS A MORAL ACTION
Abstract
This research aims to elucidate the significant role of educational supervision in its implementation as a moral action. It is a qualitative research that utilizes literature data sourced from various books, articles, and journals related to educational supervision as a moral action. The study discusses several aspects, including: 1) moral action in educational supervision; 2) the importance of moral action; 3) procedures of moral action in supervision; and 4) strategies for enhancing moral conduct in educational supervision. After collecting data from diverse literary sources, the data are then analyzed and concluded according to the author's needs. Educational supervision and moral action serve as steps that can provide true meaning to the concept of education. Supervision as a moral action entails supervisory activities carried out in the realm of education guided by values, norms, rules, and teachings in fulfilling the duties as a supervisor in schools. Moral action in supervision is of utmost importance. Moral norms can serve as a foundation when conducting educational supervision. With these norms in place, supervisors and those being supervised can collaborate effectively, treat everyone fairly, and act benevolently towards others for the future of education.
