THE EFFECTIVENESS OF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
Abstract
This research aims to describe the effectiveness of training and development of human resources in educational institutions. It is a literature review conducted through library research. Data were obtained based on literature reviews from various sources. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis or in-depth analysis related to the study focus, including understanding, objectives, types and approaches, processes, and the effectiveness of training and development of human resources. The data were then interpreted using qualitative descriptive methods. Training and development of human resources in educational institutions are efforts aimed at improving the performance of educators and educational staff in achieving educational goals effectively and efficiently. Training and development aim to enhance the skills, competencies, and productivity of human resources. This is crucial due to technological advancements, competition, and job demands. Development is carried out through education and training. Training programs are conducted using on-the-job training and off-the-job training methods. Training and development must be conducted effectively to significantly impact the institution and its users. The effectiveness of training and development is known through evaluation. Therefore, evaluation should be conducted before, during, and after the implementation of training and development. The effectiveness or success of training and development can be seen through increased knowledge, behavioral changes, and improvements in the institution. The effectiveness of training and development in educational institutions can be determined by the improvement in the performance of educators and educational staff, the improvement in students' achievements, and the attainment of national education standards.
