THE INFLUENCE OF TRAINING EDUCATION AND WORK MOTIVATION ON TEACHER PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT
Abstract
This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of training education and work motivation on the improvement of teacher performance at UPT Negeri 8 Makassar. The type of research used is quantitative research with the ex post facto method. The research population includes all teachers at UPT SMK Negeri 8 Makassar, totaling 62 people. Sampling was done through simple random sampling technique, resulting in a sample size of 31 teachers in this study. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires related to training education, work motivation, and teacher performance. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression analysis to test partial and simultaneous effects. The results of the study indicate that training education and work motivation are variables that influence the improvement of teacher performance at UPT SMK Negeri 8 Makassar. The effects produced are proven to be significant, both partially and simultaneously. The simultaneous effect produced reaches 53.5%, indicating that both variables make a significant contribution to teacher performance. Thus, the better the education training followed by teachers and the stronger the work motivation, the higher their performance will increase so that learning goals can be achieved optimally.
