THE INFLUENCE OF TEACHERS' PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE AND THE UTILIZATION OF LEARNING MEDIA FACILITIES ON LEARNING EFFECTIVENESS
Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of teachers' professional competence and the use of learning media facilities on learning effectiveness at Guppi Samata Private High School. The research employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto method. The respondents were 42 students at Guppi Samata Private High School. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, and the data obtained were processed and analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results of the study demonstrated that teachers' professional competence and the use of learning media had a significant influence on learning effectiveness at Guppi Samata Private High School. Teachers with professional competence can creatively utilize learning media to enhance students' understanding, engagement, as well as critical thinking and collaboration skills. Therefore, professional competence and the use of learning media can assist teachers in creating a more meaningful, relevant, and student-centered learning process.
