THE IMPORTANCE OF WORKFORCE MAINTENANCE IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
Abstract
Workforce maintenance is a crucial aspect of human resource management, particularly in educational institutions. This study aims to identify strategies, supporting factors, and challenges in maintaining employees. The method used is a literature review with a thematic analysis approach to relevant literature. The data sources come from library studies that not only collect information but also analyze each data point derived from identified issues to ensure the findings support the research outcomes. The analysis focuses on understanding the factors influencing workforce maintenance, the objectives of workforce retention, as well as the challenges and obstacles faced in the process. The findings indicate that effective workforce maintenance can enhance employee productivity, loyalty, and well-being, which directly impacts the quality of educational services. Key elements in workforce maintenance include fair compensation, career development, work-life balance, and the creation of a positive organizational culture. Challenges include limited resources, high workloads, and competition among educational institutions. This study provides guidance for educational institution managers in designing sustainable workforce maintenance programs to support institutional sustainability.
