IMPLEMENTATION OF CURRICULUM MANAGEMENT AT THE WAHDAH ISLAMIYAH PUTRA TAHFIDZUL QUR'AN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL
Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of curriculum management at the Tahfidzul Qur’an Wahdah Islamiyah Putra Islamic Boarding School in Gowa Regency. It is a qualitative research study. Data sources were directly obtained from the leadership, mudarris (teachers), educational staff, and students. The methods used to collect accurate data and information included interviews, observations, and documentation. Data processing and analysis followed the interactive model of Miles & Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that: 1) Curriculum planning at the Tahfidzul Qur’an Wahdah Islamiyah Putra Islamic Boarding School is carried out through work deliberations, guided by religious principles and the 5M community characteristics, covering vision, mission, learning strategies, and assessment systems; 2) Curriculum implementation consists of general subjects, Dirasah Islamiyah, and tahfizh using talaqqi, syarah kitab, and halakah methods, supported by educators and well-structured learning resources; and 3) Curriculum evaluation is conducted periodically using various methods. However, the curriculum structure still needs to be adjusted to comply with the regulations of the Directorate General of Islamic Education, particularly in alignment with the EMIS and verval systems.
