PENGARUH POLA ASUH ORANG TUA DALAM MENINGKATKAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL ANAK

Kecerdasan emosional sejatinya bisa mulai ditanamkan sejak usia dini utamanya dalam lingkungan keluarga yakni orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola asuh orang tua dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional anak. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan anak yang masih berada pada jenjang sekolah di Dukuh Gunungsari Desa Mlarak Ponorogo berjumlah 120 anak yang terdiri dari jenjang SD, SMP, dan SMA. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 30 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan adalah analisis regresi dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pola asuh orang tua dengan kecerdasan emosional anak, meskipun tidak secara mutlak tetapi hasil data mengatakan bahwa dari sampel yang diuji 50% diantaranya atau 15 dari 30 anak menunjukkan memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang tinggi dengan pola asuh demokratis dan otoriter, sisanya dengan pola asuh lain.
Abstract
Emotional intelligence can actually be instilled from an early age, especially in the family environment, namely parents. This study aims to determine the effect of parenting in improving children's emotional intelligence. This research is quantitative with survey method. The population of this research is the total number of 120 children who are still at the school level in Gunungsari Hamlet, Mlarak Ponorogo Village, consisting of elementary, junior high, and high school levels. The sampling technique used stratified random sampling technique with a sample of 30 children. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is regression analysis and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was an influence of parenting patterns on children's emotional intelligence, although not absolutely but the results of the data said that from the sample tested 50% of them or 15 of 30 children showed high emotional intelligence with democratic and authoritarian parenting, the rest with other parenting styles.
