Vol. 9 No. 2 (2022): December : Literature
In this edition, our journal featured a diverse array of 10 articles across multiple disciplines. These included literary analyses such as examinations of "The Yellow Wallpaper" and the archetypal journey in "Hansel and Gretel." Film studies delved into the historical context of the 2019 "Aladdin" adaptation and racial discrimination using Gordon Allport’s theory in "Fruitvale Station." Sociocultural critiques explored themes of gender discrimination in literary works and racial practices in the film "Mississippi Burning." Additionally, we explored children's literature through an analysis of hidden adult themes in Okky Madasari’s "Mata di Tanah Melus," and reception studies examined how students perceive contemporary Shakespearean plays.
