LEADERSHIP OF FEMALE SCHOOL PRINCIPALS IN IMPROVING EDUCATION QUALITY
Abstract
This article aims to describe the leadership of female school principals in improving the quality of education at Al-Ashri Integrated Islamic Junior High School, Makassar. This study employs a qualitative descriptive research method. The primary data for this research were gathered through interviews conducted by the researcher with informants from SMPIT Al-Ashri Makassar, including the principal, vice principal, teaching staff, school committee, and parents of students. Data collection techniques involved observation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out by organizing the data, breaking it down into analytical units, synthesizing the data, identifying patterns, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was tested using source and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that female school leadership at SMPIT Al-Ashri Makassar effectively addresses gender challenges through an empathetic and collaborative approach, creating a productive work environment. A multidimensional approach involving academic supervision, training, and active involvement of parents and the school committee successfully improved the overall quality of education.
