THE INFLUENCE OF LEADERSHIP ON STATE CIVIL APPARATUS SERVICES
Abstract
This study aims to analyze and examine the influence of leadership on state civil apparatus service at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports in Mamuju Regency. This research is quantitative in nature, using the ex post facto method. The scientific approach applied includes managerial and sociological perspectives. The population in this study consists of all 66 civil servants at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports in Mamuju Regency. The sampling technique employed is non-probability sampling using a saturated sample, resulting in 66 respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents, and the data obtained were analyzed using statistical analysis. Hypothesis testing was conducted using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results of the study at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports in Mamuju Regency demonstrate that leadership positively influences the performance of civil servants. This indicates that when leadership is applied effectively, the quality of civil servant services to the public improves at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports in Mamuju Regency. Therefore, leaders must be able to apply their leadership effectively to create a work environment that supports employees in providing services to the public.
