The Journal has been published by the Faculty of Adab and Humanities of Alauddin State Islamic University, Makassar in 1997 and has been online since 2016. The main theme is Islamic Humanities studies with the emphasis on interdisciplinary and intertextuality approach. The scope of article discusses Qur'anic exegesis, living sunnah, Islamic law, Islamic philosophy, Islamic mysticism, theology, and/or integrated with humanities field of studies. The journal of Humanities and Islamic Studies provides the online collection of articles from 1997 up to now. The most updated information can be found on the website.
